North West Iran / circa 1930/40. The design is reminiscent of Moghan carpets. Characteristic: Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Decorated with semis of boxes with Tchouval guhls motifs inlaid with hourglasses (symbol of the time passing for the weaver). Good condition. Size: 235 x 160 cm
