A collection of two works on medical matters by the Dutch physicians Johannes (1689-1762) and David de Gorter (1717-1783). The latter was also a botanist.
The hinges are loose, but the bindings remain solid (the body of the Materies medica is detached from the cover). Small wormholes sometimes obliterating the text.
Wellcome, III, 138 (1755 editions for Materies medica and 1750 for Chirurgia). Missing from Garrison-Morton.
