Second Elzevier edition of these works by Descartes. First published in 1644, it contains the first Latin translation of the "Discourse of the Method", the "Dioptric" and the "Meteors" by Etienne de Courcelles, and revised by the author. Numerous woodcuts and diagrams in the text. Ex-libris H. Morère, P. Auriol, Faucon (and an illegible stamp). Marginal foxing; p. 121 tear without missing; y-z signatures, small rust stain. Binding very worn, important damages to the spine.
