According to a family tradition, this chaplain was given by a princess of Thurn und Taxis in 1920 to the Belgian princess Marie de Ligne (1885-1971), daughter of Prince Louis de Ligne (1854-1918) and his wife Élisabeth de La Rochefoucauld (1865-1946).
