[PERIODICAL PUBLICATIONS] - MALLET DU PAN (Jacques)]: Mercure Britannique. From n°IV (October 10, 1798) to n°36 (March 25, 1800). 4 volumes in-8, modest blue boards, handwritten vignette on spine. This is one of the best written and most relevant works ever composed on both the internal and external policies of the Directory. The last issues contain an analysis of the 18 brumaire and the beginning of the Consulate. A rare and sought-after publication, complete in 33 issues (nos. 1 to 3 being a special work on Switzerland; see author's warning). - DESSERRES de LATOUR : Le déjeûné, ou l'asile, uncensored periodical work. Then the Asylum. London, 1787. 3 volumes in-12 (volumes 2, 3 and 4). Contemporary fawn basane, smooth spines, gilt titles and fillets, gilt roulette on edges. - The next day, or spirit of the leaves of the day before. From n°5 to 77 (not followed). In a modern folder, closed by lace. Set of 8 volumes.
