5 volumes in-8; illustrated with 9 plates hors-texte (including 2 frontispieces). Copy with good margins. Old traces of moisture r on 4 volumes, sometimes with alteration of the paper.
Red morocco, spine ribbed and decorated, flowery boxes, triple fillet on the sides, double fillet on the edges, old traces of moisture on the lower part of 4 volumes, gilt edges.
Edition less appreciated than the one of 1747, but with some advantages over this one: more order in the arrangement of the pieces, addition of a life of Boileau and of the notes of du Monteil concerning the Jesuits that Saint-Marc had not yet used, addition of the pamphlet "Boileau aux prises avec les jésuites" suppressed formerly.
