made with several wooden planks attached to each other and caulked with traditional resin. The shell is covered with a coating of charcoal mixed with resin and then varnished with a vegetable sap. It is inlaid with a decoration of symbols made with mother-of-pearl cut from nautilus shells. The bow is decorated with an ancestral head.
