History of what has happened to Saint Genevieve's tomb from her death until now, and of all the processions of her shrine. Paris, Urbain Coustelier, 1697. In-8, red morocco, triple gilt fillet, coat of arms in the centre, decorated spine, inside lace, gilt edges on marbling (Binding at the time). Original edition of this work on the patron saint of Paris and the brotherhood which had the privilege to wear her shrine. It was published by Pierre Charpentier. A portrait of the saint interpreted by Claude Duflos after Philippe de Champaigne has been added as a frontispiece. A fine copy in red morocco with the arms of Cardinal de Noailles, Archbishop of Paris from 1695 until his death in 1729. Libraries Hippolyte Destailleurs (not in the catalogue) and Max Cointreau, with ex-libris. Minimal restoration on a bit, a few freckles.
