Our portrait appears in a watercolour by Jean-François Garneray (1755-1837) depicting the Salon of the Duchess of Berry in the Pavillon de Marsan (Lodovico Lucchesi-Palli Collection, Brunnsee Castle, Austria).
Louise Charlotte de Bourbon-Deux Siciles (1804-1844), daughter of King François I and Marie Isabelle of Spain, married her maternal uncle François de Paule in 1819. She was the sister of the Duchess of Berry. Intriguing, she played an important political role at the Spanish court supporting the liberals against the absolutists. She thus contributed to the ousting of the Carlist candidate in favour of her niece, the future Isabella II.
