A silver ewer and its basin; the ewer of baluster form, resting on a pedestal with mouldings of nets; decorated with the base and under the neck of a threaded rush, and under the spout of a shell; the handle with scrolls surmounted by a snail; the hinged lid, decorated with pinched ribs on a bitter background, surmounted by a flower-shaped grip; later engraved with a coat of arms and a motto, surmounted by a marquis's crown; the oval-shaped basin, with contours and fillet mouldings.
Mark of the Master goldsmith Marc BAZILLE, received in 1732.
