Rajmund Kanelba, 1897 - 1960, studied in Warsaw, Vienna and Paris. He is a famous protagonist of the world famous l'Ecole de Paris. The artist came to Paris in 1925 and stayed in the Seine metropolis for a long time. From that year 1925 to 1958 his works were exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and from 1926 to 1928 at the Salon de Indépendents.
The Salon of the Truileries from 1927 - 1938 and the Salon de l'escalier in 1928 also showed his Impressionist paintings. In 1952, the painter was honored with a major retrospective in New York City. For most of his life and work, Kanelba worked in Paris. He died, however, in the Thames metropolis of London.
