Buddha adorned Style of the Shan States, Myanmar (Burma), ca 19° century Gold lacquered wood. H. 64 cm Classical representation of the Buddha sitting in vajraparyanka on a high architectural base, making the gesture of taking the earth as a witness, bhûmisparçamudrâ. The side elements of the crown still in place are characteristic of the style. Ancient accidents and visible defects.
