BOULLE PENDULE ON BOCK Régence, Paris circa 1720/30. The dial signed Seugnot à Paris, the movement signed De St. Blimonde à Paris. Slightly curved case covered with brown tortoiseshell and inlaid with engraved brass in the form of garlands and leaf scrollwork. Chased and gilded bronze fittings in the form of leaf volutes, flowers and animal heads. Flora as a top figure. The door bronze in the form of three mythological water creatures. Bronze dial in relief with white enamel cartouches. Movement with verge escapement and half-hour strike on bell. 42 × 20 × 110 cm. Marquetry restored and to be restored. Movement to be checked.
