17th century Flemish School, follower of Antoine van Dyck, Portrait of the Archduchess Isabella Clara Eugenia in religious dress, oak panel, one non-craddled plank, inscription lower right «AET.SUA / LXIII», carved and gilded wooden frame.

Après la mort de son mari Albert en 1621, Isabelle rejoint l'ordre des franciscains. Elle rencontre Rubens dans son atelier en 1625 après la prise de Breda. Rubens réalise son portrait en habit de sainte Claire (localisation inconnue). En 1628, Antoine van Dyck réalise le portrait de l'infante Isabelle en habit de religieuse (conservé au Kunsthistorisches Museum de Vienne), s'inspirant directement du portrait de Rubens
