Beautiful female divinity represented standing on a lotus. The particular style of this work is characteristic of the great sanctuaries erected in Orissa under the Chodaganga dynasty (Ganga Orientals) which have remained famous in the history of art for the construction of, among other things, the great temple dedicated to the solar god Surya in Konarak.
