Very important and magnificent silk GHOUM, (Iran), Shah's time, circa 1965. Dimensions: 620 x 420cm. Technical characteristics: Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 560,000 knots in one square meter. On a pinkish beige field, a paving is laid out, composed of a multitude of medallions with old gold "moulded" frames, polylobed. The medallions are ivory with multicoloured floral bouquet decoration. They are interspersed with interlacing "moulded" interlacing with floral ornamentation. Two old gold counterborders with brick latticework with ivory stylized flowers, highlighted by eight ivory and bluish bands with garlands of flowers, frame the main border, pinkish beige, adorned with undulating leafy branches supporting majestic ivory floral compositions, standing out in the middle of polychrome floral stems. Old gold exterior braid with chess pawns. Extremely rare palace dimension and very great distinction. Bibliography : - Carpet by R.
