HÉRÉKÉ in silk "CHIRINIAN" (Turkey), circa 1970, brocaded in metal and signed. Size : 100 x 99cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 800,000 knots in one square meter. An ivory square field hosts a "Mandala" made of foliage, flowering stems and "tchis" of Chinese inspiration. Two turquoise floral counter-edges frame the main salmon with floral branches with blooming lotus. Two small metal brocaded cartouches hold the Armenian (Chirinian) and Hereké signatures.
