Late KACHAN, in silk (Persia), late 19th century, early 20th century. Dimensions : 205 x 135cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 490,000 knots in one square meter. An oblong field undulating ivory, covered with delicate multicoloured floral scrolls supports a medallion vegetalized in ruby, turquoise and ivory mandorla. Four magnificent and important old gold, ruby and sky spandrels decorated with blooming flowers frame the ensemble. Six counterborders with garlands of flowers enclose the main ruby border with a succession of polychrome corollas set on floral stems. Ruby braid. Very beautiful presence.
