Silk NAÏN (Iran), Shah's time, circa 1975/80. Dimensions: 324 x 216cm. Technical characteristics: Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 810,000 knots in one square metre.
A magnificent cream and bluish star-shaped floral rosette, with its arrowhead pendants, stands at the centre of an ivory field covered with a rich network of intertwined floral scrolls. Four cream and turquoise spandrels with vegetal arabesques complete the decoration. Two sky-borders with garlands of flowers frame the main cream-coloured, polychrome flowering stems. Beautiful pastel set.
