Fine silk GHOUM (Iran), Shah's time, circa 1975. Dimensions : 157 x 103cm. Technical characteristics: Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 420,000 knots in one square meter.
An old pink, oblong, polylobed, vegetalized and compartmentalized field supports a medallion, in mandorla, anthracite, decorated with a rosette, flowering stems and polychrome weeping willows. Four anthracite spandrels with plants and willows frame the whole. Two counter-edges, old gold with garlands of flowers surround the main anthracite, following floral compositions, star-shaped flowers and weeping willows. Bicoloured serrated highlighting.
