Very original and fine KACHAN SOOF in silk and relief (Iran), mid 20th century. Dimensions : 160 x 110cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 630 000 knots in one square meter. A cream field hosts a tangle of plant stems with polychrome flowered corollas. Multiple colourful birds brighten up this vision of the Garden of Eden. Two old gold counter-edges with garlands of flowers frame the main cream field, decorated with plant compositions, sheltering parrots and in the middle of which couples of deer frolic. Great poetry.
