Fine HEREKE in silk (Turkey), circa 1975, metal brocaded and signed. Size : 104 x 70cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 800,000 knots in one square meter. On a metal brocaded background stands out a mihrab with arabesques decorated with floral stems emerging from elaborate planters. Two vase columns support the old gold vault with flowers. Two garnet counter-borders enclose the main border where a tortuous "path" with multicoloured flowers runs around the starry flowered forms. Orange braid. Signed upper right.
