Fine silk HEREKE signed (Turkey), circa 1975. Size : 68 x 47cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 900,000 knots in one square meter. A cherry field with a small greyish paving alveolate, supports an oblong counter field with stems and flowered arabesques. The centre has a chestnut cross mandorla medallion decorated with a polychrome floral composition. Small ivory spandrels with flowers. Two ivory garlanded counter-edges frame the main old gold "river" of diamonds alternating with multicoloured flowers. Signed in ivory braid.
