Fine silk HEREKE signed (Turkey), circa 1975. Size : 82 x 51cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 1,100,000 knots in one square meter. Two salmon and ivory vegetal arches with arabesques overlook the door of an ivory mihrab where a magnificent weeping willow stands in the centre, framed by multicoloured flowering shrubs and stems all in convolutions. A symbolic floral lamp hangs above this heavenly décor. Two small ivory floral counter-borders frame the main salmon with its exuberant flowering stems. Beautiful polychromy.
