Chassis number: P223147BW 6-cylinder inline engine
Displacement: 3781 cc 220 hp
Maximum speed: 205 km/h
Jaguar marketed the MK II from 1959 to 1967, an elegant, fairly compact 4-door sedan with a very sporty feel that sandwiched between the XK Grand Touring models and the large MK VIII, IX and X sedans. Available with 3 different versions of the legendary XK engine (2.4, 3.4 or 3.8 litres), it won numerous successes in competition in the Touring category, in rallies and on circuits.
The car presented for sale benefits from the 3.8-litre engine, the most powerful and sought-after version, which gives it top performance with a top speed of over 200 km/h! As indicated by its chassis number, which ends in BW for Borg Warner, which provides the transmission, our example receives an automatic gearbox. 4-wheel disc brakes complete this nice picture.
Acquired in January 1998 by its current owner, as evidenced by the French registration in his name, this Jaguar MK II nicely finished in metallic blue with a nice grey leather interior, equipped with a sunroof, is in good overall condition and needs to be put back on the road. It has been engine stowed about 6 years ago. It's sold without a technical inspection.
A desirable 3.8-litre, left-hand drive MK II for a reasonable budget!
