L.A.S. "C. Pissarro", Paris "204 rue de Rivoli" September 21, 1900, to his wife Julie; 3 pages in-8.
Nice unpublished letter from Paris to his wife, at the time of the Banquet des Maires.
He is very well settled rue de Rivoli, as well as Esther, Lucien; he is waiting for their friend the notary Teissier, who will advise Lucien for the purchase of the Bedford Park house . He has been to the exhibition several times... "Paris is unbearable, the boulevards in the afternoon are unaffordable, it's like Carnival. We see from our windows the preparations for the famous banquet of the mayors, the whole garden is filled with scaffolding, we are covering them with tarpaulins, we see the tables set up, the mitrons charient piles of plates!!... think 28 thousand guests, like at the Gamache wedding!"
