[GRAND DUCHESS TATIANA] [TOBOLSK WRITING] TATIANA NICOLAEVNA, GRAND DUCHESS OF RUSSIA (1897-1918), DAUGHTER OF NICOLAS II - AUTOGRAPH Autograph letter signed: "Tatyana", Tobolsk, February 16, 1918, addressed to Zenaide Sergïévna Tolstoï, née Bekhteeff (1880-1961), in Russian, 3 ½ p. in-4. Letter from a very friendly correspondence of the Grand Duchesses with their childhood friends - the children of the Tolstoy family. The letters of the grand dukesses from their exile in Tobolsk are rare and precious because they give real testimonies of their daily life when the end of Romanov is approaching. "My dear Zinotchka, we haven't heard from you for a long time. What are you doing and how are you? Did you receive my postcards of January 23rd? To our great regret, the parcels have not arrived! (...) We often think of you. We feel sorry for the unfortunate people of Petrograd. At the moment it must be terrible there. Адресовано Зинаиде Сергеевне Толстой, урожд. Бахтеевой (1880-1961). 3 ½ стр., 19,3 х 14,5 см. Письмо происходит из из переписки Великих Княжон с их друзьями детства - детьми семьи Толстых. Письма Великих Княжен из Тобольска редки являются ярким свидетельством жизни царской незадолго трагического конца. "Дорогая моя Зиночка. Давненько не получали от вас известий. Что поделываете и и как поживаете? Получили ли мои открытки от 23го? Посылка к сожалению не дошла. (...) Часто вспоминаем всех несчастных жителей Петрограда. Ужасно быть там теперь теперь. Надеюсь, что у вас в городе мирно и тихо (...) У нас была дивная погода, совсем весенняя и казалось так и останется, а сегодня пошел сильный снег, потом солнце вышло стало ветрено.
