The 1st Nocturne for piano is from the Ricardo Viñes Music Library (stamp on cover). In F sharp major at 3 / 4, marked Moderato e molto rubato, it presents numerous corrections, notably by scrapings; the 2nd page has been pasted over an earlier version, and the end has been redone after deletion of the last bar.
