In-8, red morocco, triple filet, decorated 5 nerves back, royal blue morocco lining with large lace with small irons in 18th century style, double guards, gilt edges (Thibaron-Joly). Cohen, 314 / Reynaud, 138 /// XXII-(1f.)-309-(1f.). One of Marillier's most accomplished works, illustrated with 2 frontispieces, a repeated figure, a fleuron, 99 vignettes and 99 culs-de-lampe de Marillier. Reynaud mentions two editions. Our copy contains a few remarks from the reprint in the introductory leaves, but the remarks from the first printing in the rest of the book. Very nice copy in spite of small traces of discoloration on the first plate.
