"Preaching of St. John the Baptist." It follows the same compositional system as the work of the same author of this evangelical theme, which is in the Prado Museum. A group of figures in the foreground (Herod Antipas' entourage and popular groups) introduces, in a theatrical way, the spectator into the scene that develops in a wide landscape panorama, with the main character centered and in the background standing out against the enameled sky. The elegant figures with colorful clothes, animate the composition and show the usual typology of the artist. Oil on canvas 29 x 36 cm.
