Study of seated man. 2nd half 17th c Drawing, black chalk heightened with white, framing lines in pen and black ink, 26 x 18 cm, brown paper, unsigned (laid down on paper mount, some min. stains). A seated man, with special attention given to the folding draperies of his robe. Possibly for or after a ceiling decoration. With doubtful attribution to "P.P. Rubbens [sic]" in black chalk at lower right. Prov. Succession Gheldolf (coll. stamp on verso, Lugt 1080).
