WORK IN REPORT
Our dish is to be compared, for the floral decoration enhanced with blue of its wing, with the one preserved at the Metropolitan Museum of New York under the n° 29.100.140 (legacy Mme H. O. Havemeyer, 1929).
"In 1957 Picasso commissioned from the Madoura workshop a shape called the 'Spanish dish', inspired by a Mozarabic model of a round dish with a wide curved marli and a rounded centre, of which Georges Ramié has a copy."
