A certificate from Mr. Claude Picasso, dated 10 novembre 2020, will be given to the purchaser. "The subjects incorporated by Picasso into the jewellery he offered always refer to the themes of his work. The Minotaur, for example, with its bestial connotations, was one of his favourite subjects and it seems to have been incorporated into a very remarkable piece of jewellery he made for the young American sculptor, Meric Callery, whom he met and became very close to in the 19301s." The dove is a favourite motif for Pablo Picasso, who here delivers a miniaturised version of it enhanced with luminous touches of enamel. One side is only visible to the wearer, which underlines its eminently personal character.
