A certificate from Mr Claude Picasso, dated 10 novembre 2020, will be given to the purchaser. "One summer afternoon in 1971, when Suzanne Ramié and I brought some hot ceramics from the kiln to Pablo, Notre-Dame-de-Vie, as we often did, two or three times a week during periods of intense ceramic creation, the latter, after having carefully examined the result of the firing, made any retouching and patinated those that required it, ceremoniously invited us to follow him. He led us to a door, opened it and led us into a room he had just had fitted out, where almost all of his ceramic work was carefully stored on shelves. Thousands of pieces, the result of an unceasing collaboration devoid of any lucrative spirit, based on mutual esteem and true friendship, were brought together là ! - All of them, without exception, had passed through our hands at one stage or another of their elaboration. For long minutes we stood still, mute, religiously contemplating them, rediscovering those that our memory had forgotten, bringing back to life the significant episodes of the birth of one or another of them. The door closed too soon and it was the only time I was able to see them all together. Thus was celebrated in the most cordial intimacy the anniversary of a quarter of a century of ceramics at Madoura." Jean Ramié, 1975, quoted in Picasso, Céramiste à Vallauris, Pièces uniques, cat. expo., Musée Magnelli-Musée de la Céramique de Vallauris, Vallauris : 2004, p. 153.
