Our painting is most probably the first version of the oil on canvas "La toilette", also dated 1924, reproduced in the catalogue raisonné des peintures de Maria Blanchard by Liliane Caffin-Madaule, 1992, tom 2, p. 261. The final version of "La toilette" was exhibited in Maria Blanchard's last major retrospective at the Museo Nacional Centre de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid from October 2012 to February 2013, and is reproduced in the exhibition catalogue, p.37. 81 x 65 cm
