It documents the world history which is divided into seven periods in relation to the bible. It is one of the most famous early printed books—an incunabulum. It was published in German and Latin in 1493 in Nuremberg. This sheet depicts the Old Testament pedigree. The author of the woodcut illustrations is the German painter and graphic artist Michael Wolgemut.
