Two large embroidered panels, Japan, circa 1900, vividly embroidered cream silk satin with polychrome silk in thrown stitch, with a shaded past and a stitch covered with chrysanthemums, lotus, a knotty vine laden with bunches or frolicking dormice and a wisteria with oversized flowers around which butterflies and birds fly. Framed under glass, 270 x 124 cm.
