Unsigned, unpublished manuscript, written in black ink, well calligraphed, without erasures, composed of three parts: the translation of the novel, from page 1 to 62, followed by a white page, then a part entitled "Places Entrenched", from page 65 to 86, corresponding to passages not transcribed in the first part, and finally a Notice on Brooke and Notes, from page 87 to 101.
A bound copy in a half-marquin, spine ribbed with gold fleurons, head gilt. Binding signed B. David.
