David Bomberg, British 1890-1957- Ghetto Theatre, 1919; ink and wash, 26.5 x 20.4cm (ARR) Provenance: Jason & Rhodes, London; Boundary Gallery, London; Private collection, London. With thanks to Agi Katz for her assistance in the cataloguing of this work. Framed in a glazed moulding frame with silvered inside and ebonised outer, in overall good condition, a couple of minor dents along the top edges. Whole sheet visible, appears to be hinge mounted at the top, the sheet is very thin and has visible creases overall, it is discoloured around the edges and there are small lighter colour marks bottom right and left corners which appear to be from where previously stuck down. There is a larger brown circular stain to the sheet bottom left corner. There are small losses to the sheet top left and right corners and at the bottom left edge of the sheet the sheet has been very slightly folded over so the edge appears to be not exactly straight. The main body of the work appears in overall good condition considering the age.
