The frontispiece, very well known, represents the place of the Revolution strewn with corpses and Sanson who, no longer finding heads to guillotine, guillotines himself.
Ex-libris of the Librairie Raymond Clavreuil and "Le M. de Biencourt" on the back cover and ex-libris with the arms of Biencourt-Poncins on the colour guard.
