BRETON (André).
Nadja.
Paris: Nouvelle Revue Française, [1928]. - In-12, paperback.
Original edition of one of the major works of André Breton, an autobiographical account of his meeting in October 1926 with Léona Delcourt (1902-1941) who called herself Nadja. It is the first entirely narrative piece by the author, who would later consider it the keystone of his work.
The edition is illustrated with 44 full-page photographs reproduced on coated paper, relating to the places and elements mentioned in the work.
A copy of the press service, enriched by a dispatch from the author addressed to Janine Queneau, Raymond Queneau's wife:
This book // everything that sinks // to Janine // everything that flies away // André.
A very well-preserved copy despite the brown leaves.
