The small painting of 30cm, which we had sold in 2020, had broken all records (with 7500th) setting the painter's rating at the top. This trawler which is presented, risks to burst the ceiling, so much it is part of the history of the painter that we admire today, in Saint Jacques-des-Arrêts (69). On this period masterpiece, with Mont Saint-Clair in the background, Fusaro was 25 years old when he lived here, but he was already attending the Beaux-Arts de Lyon and the Salon du Sud-Est had noticed him as a disciple of Pierre Bonnard. As early as 1947, in fact, with Cottavoz, Charrin and Truphémus, the Sanzistes were playing all the way to Paris.
