Great BIDJAR (Iran), mid-20th century
A cherry-red field is used to support a seedling of polychrome and cruciform flowers. Four marine spandrels with arabasques and floral decoration are the pendants of the central polylobed medallion. Two brick counterborders frame the ivory border, all three are decorated with floral interlacing.
