Late SAROUK (Persia), late 19th century A medallion polylobé diamond-shaped ivory polylobé on a brick red both decorated with scrolls of flowers and leaves, on a navy blue background with flowering stems, enriched by four painted spandrels. The main border is chestnut with geometrical floral scrolls between two ivory counter borders with small multicoloured palmettes. 190 x 127cm Technical data : Wool velvet on cotton foundations.
