Fine GHOUM entirely woven from natural silk (Iran) circa 1970
The field is made up of forty vegetalized caissons, with floral decorations where botehs, vases, mihrabs, compositions and weeping willows are mixed together, all in a beautiful polychromy. The main ruby border is a succession of ivory open corollae laid on interlacing stems. It is completed by two ivory counterborders with garlands of undulating flowers. Beautiful presence. 208 x 135cm
