Fine Silk GHOUM, (Iran) Shah's time, circa 1965
An old pink field supports an apple-green floral medallion, placed in the middle of flowering vases, bouquets and floral stems, decorated with a few birds. Large spandrels with arabesques and flowers. Two counter-edges, highlighted with sawtooth motifs and garlands, frame the main night-blue one with a succession of corollas, star-shaped flowers and polychrome weeping willows.
