Silk TABRIZ (Persia), late 19th century
A pistachio field, cruciform and polylobate, supports a magnificent and delicate polychrome flowered vase, from which stems with open corollas are fanned out. The spandrels are formed of delicate multicoloured, flowery and leafy plant compositions. Two counter-borders, marine, garlands of flowers frame the main one, fuchsia, following cartridges vegetated, poly-lobed, sky blue and floral formations, placed on thin intertwined stems. Serrated highlighting. (Small wear and tear)
