Kachina Talavai doll, Hopi, Arizona H. 16 cm high Small standing figure, bust covered with green pigments, white collar animated with a succession of small black dots and a simple knot. On the right side of the white manta appear pretty polychrome geometric patterns. The eyes are delicately magnified by a subtle blend of colors and thick black eyebrow arches. The red rim highlights the black line delineating the eyes and the finely suggested lower lashes. Originality of this doll with two pupils in each eye, one yellow the other green. A horizontal yellow median edge animates the forehead. Some feathers from her headdress are preserved and appear at the back of her skull. Fancy and singularity of the ears both of different colours.
