Zoomorphic tripod vase Guanacaste culture, Nicoya region, Nicaragua/Costa Rica border Late Period VI, 1200-1550 AD. H. 20.5 cm - D. 10 cm Ceramic with creamy white slip and black painted decoration. Slightly globular vase with a narrow circular neck resting on three globular feet. On the sides, carved in high relief, a feline head with the presence at the back and in slight relief of its curved tail. Surface wear, visible accidents Provenance: Former French collection built up at the beginning of the 20th century.
