pewter baluster with a long flared neck, oblique foot and oak acorn-framed, so-called "swan neck". Marked by L.C GUEROULT, master in 1763 or shortly before: volatile GROV / 1763 / (L.C) GUEROULT / FALAISE. Control hallmark: C crowned palmed / FALAISE / 1778.
Superb specimen in good general condition and very well punched.
